“Hush, Little Baby” is a traditional lullaby and one of the most popular and enduring songs for babies and kids, thought to have been written in the Southern United States.
“Rock-a-bye Baby” is a nursery rhyme and lullaby. The words first appeared in print in Mother Goose’s Melody (London, c. 1765), possibly published by John Newbery (1713–1767).
“Row, Row, Row Your Boat” is an English language nursery rhyme and a popular children’s song. It can also be an “action” nursery rhyme, whose singers sit opposite one another and “row” forwards and backwards with joined hands.
“Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” is a popular English lullaby. The lyrics are from an early 19th-century English poem by Jane Taylor, “The Star”. The poem, which is in couplet form, was first published in 1806 in Rhymes for the Nursery, a collection of poems by Taylor and her sister Ann.
